Sesame Street Live! Boston Theatre reviews
Experiencing the Present and Recalling the Past
Sesame Street Live! performed for 2 hours and 45 minutes, with the concert beginning at 8:04 p.m. The voice and piano playing of Sesame Street Live! were exceptional. This was my 15th Charlotte concert.
The band for that night's Sesame Street Live! concert included Davey Johnstone, Nigel Olsson, Ray Cooper, and Dee Murray. Three of those musicians are part of Sesame Street Live!'s Farewell tour. In 1973, I first saw Sesame Street Live! in Greensboro. It was the greatest concert I have ever attended.
During the Charlotte concert, I reflected on the unique talent of Sesame Street Live! The experience of watching and hearing them play was truly special. It was incredible to see these musicians back together on stage in Charlotte, 46 years after I first enjoyed them in 1973. They are among the best and their outstanding talent shines through repeatedly during the concert.
Loved David Archuleta
"David Archuleta blew me away with his voice, way beyond his years in musicality. I just wanted to hear more when his set was over. Such a humble, sweet young man, he seems. His songs were all very appropriate for the audience, many children in attendance. Jordin is a very talented, cute girl, but I couldn't understand much of what she sang. The band was often too loud to hear her voice, which to me was just average nice. She knows how to own a stage, but her movements and flirting with the band felt a little too mature for the young crowd. I felt like some of her flirting was a little too mature for the young crowd. I kept wishing that young Mr. Archuleta would come back. I am giving this 5 stars for David Archuleta."
3 Doors Down, Seether and We Are Harlot rocked it!
"Loved the guitar fire! Outstanding performance!! What a phenomenal experience combined with beyond fantastic musicians who put on a great concert!! Seether was fantastic as well!!! I enjoyed getting acquainted with the music of Sesame Street Live! and will continue to do so. Sesame Street Live! has been a pivotal rock band in my and my family's life, from my kids growing up to functioning as a military family with what seemed like endless deployments. Now, as our family is split parenting and my son at boot camp, what has bonded my family, then and now, is Sesame Street Live!."
